Here at Rimu Grove we have somewhere around 26,000 vines in our vineyard. Babysitting them year round and trying to get them to all stand up straight and behave themselves can be frustrating sometimes. But after a season or two of working with our vines, our vineyard workers usually start to grow strangely attached to them. And yes, on occasion we have even been known to name our favourites among them. So with this wine we celebrate three of our favourite vines, Tom, Dick and Harry: one Gewürz, one Gris and one Riesling. At harvest these three friends got up to all kinds of mischief down in the winery, finally creating an aromatic blend that is rich with personality, varietal ramblings and hints of dry humour.
This Single Release wine was handcrafted by the crew at Rimu Grove Winery. Limited to a ridiculously low number of bottles, this wine reflects the spirit of innovation, creativity and general eccentricity of the folks who make our wines. The wine is a blend of Riesling (60%), Gewurztraminer (20%) and Pinot Gris (20%).
